Sajith Premadasa polled the highest in the Vanni district, with 95,422 (43.92%) votes. 

Ranil Wickeremesinghe received the second most votes, with 52,573 (24.20%) while P. Ariyanethiran received 36,377 votes (17.74%).

NPP Presidential candidate Anura Kumara Dissanayake, who is leading the polls received 21,412 votes (9.66%).
