Sanath Nishantha’s wife wants probe into husband’s death

Colombo, Feb 7 (Daiy Mirror) - Late State Minister Sanath Nishantha's wife lodged a complaint with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), requesting a probe into her late husband's death.

The complaint was lodged citing suspicions surrounding the circumstances of the death.

His vehicle was being driven well above the speed limit on the road, his driver attempted to intimidate the driver of the vehicle in from with continuous headlight flashing, having failed to intimidate the driver to move to the left behind a container truck, his driver chose to overtake the vehicle in front from the lefthand side not realising that there was a container truck in front on the lefthand lane travelling at a slow speed. By the time the driver realised and reacted to the container truck in front of him it was too late. He hit the container truck and then veered to the left and slammed into the barrier on the lefthand side of the road. That's the full story. Not sure what more there is to add to the story by an investigation. If the politicians driver though they were above the law and could intimidate other drivers on the road by flashing their headlights merely to travel way above the speed limit and even endangering others, they learnt a bitter lesson that day.

Can't imagine, she being an attorney at law supporting her husband's unlawful actions in the parliament and outside. Is this the status of law education in SL..recently I watched another audio recording where a attorney at law from Gampaha asking favours from a high ranking police office attached to CID. The talk was very sweet and can be interpreted in multiple ways. The policeman says he can come to any place where she wanted. This lady was a cunning woman and it appears to me the policeman was somewhat decent What a shame, where we are heading!
