Colombo, July 13 (Daily Mirror) - The Arthur C. Clarke Centre announced that a satellite is planned for launch next year.

Professor Chandana Jayaratne, Director of the Astronomy and Space Science Unit at Colombo University's Physics Department and Chairman of the Arthur C. Clarke Institute for Modern Technologies, emphasised the need for further infrastructure development to educate schoolchildren on satellite technology.

He made these remarks during a programme aimed at teaching school students about satellite technology.

On who's platform will it be launched? why can't the Arthur C Clark centre look to develop its own rocket propulsion program. Beginning to launch its own rocket.
