COLOMBO (Daily Mirror) - A heavy presence of police personnel is observed opposite the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) following growing protests against SLC officials.

Meanwhile, a group of individuals staging a demonstration near the SLC premises handed over a missive to an SLC official.

The real protest should be about lack of freedom of expression here. Even in Afghanistan now under the Taliban cricket is prospering well there, and probably a lot less corruption. No hope for any ex-Minister to ever uproot corruption, as he was well known to give favour to his catchers.

The Police are not likely to tear gas any protestors as the rumours are that they are representatives of the President who was not informed of the changes

Most People are in hunger and no compensation for farmers over the use of poor organic fertilizer and no water as required by Kanchana . So, this is a trivial issue now as an interim committee being appointed and to be addressed. A new constitution required to be passed with the voting power restricted to a few clubs in the A division top, like in Australia considering the states, etc., though Namal, Sagala and others, oppose.
