Seven petitions against Deshabandu being appointed as IGP fixed for April 2



Colombo, Feb 27 (Daily Mirror) - Seven Fundamental Rights petitions filed challenging the decision to appoint Deshabandu Thennakoon as the Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the IGP were today fixed for April 2 by the Supreme Court.

Court was informed that the parties were yet to receive minutes pertaining to the Constitutional Council appointing Deshabandu Tennakoon as the new IGP.
