Colombo, August 05 (Daily Mirror) -  The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for severe thundershowers, accompanied by intense lightning, expected to affect several regions including the Northern and Eastern provinces, as well as Polonnaruwa and Badulla districts.

The Department advised residents in these areas to prepare for temporary localized strong winds during the thundershowers. 

Authorities recommend staying indoors, avoiding tall structures, and securing outdoor items to reduce the risk of harm and property damage during these severe weather conditions.
