Shani’s appointment politically motivated: Former SJB MP

Colombo, October 15 (Daily Mirror) -The appointment of Shani Abeysekera as the Director of Crimes is a politically motivated one, a Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) former MP said today.

“Shani’s appointment is a politically motivated one as he was a person who appeared on the National People's Power (NPP) stage during the presidential election,” SJB former MP Harshana Rajakaruna told a media briefing.

“However we expect him to bring those who are responsible for the Easter Sunday bomb attacks as soon as possible,” the former MP said.

It was is unfair/illegal dismissal that was politically motivated, and that time SJB said nothing. It was a people's mandate that wanted him back.

Even if Shani's appointment is Political, it is a good Political decision because he is known to have solved many cases which involved powerful persons and they in turn did not want him solving cases in that way but according to there agendas.

So this means that the SJB does not want a person like Shani Abeysekera to investigate the Easter Sunday Massacre. Obviously they are also trying to sabotage the unraveling of the mastermind of the Easter Sunday Massacre, just like the Rajapaksa, Ranil Wickremasinghe Governments.
