Shooting incident reported near hotel in Galle

GALLE (Daily Mirror) - The Galle Police launched an investigation after two persons in a Wagon R type car had opened fire at a person in a three-wheeler in front of a hotel at Dadalla in Galle today.

Police said it has been revealed that the three-wheeler driver and his son had arrived at the place in response to a phone call by another person asking them to bring two foreign nationals from a hotel in the Dadalla area.

The shooting incident was reported when the driver and his son were inside the three-wheeler. No one was injured in the shooting.

The Wagon R type car used for the shooting was found by the Galle Division Criminal Investigation Division while it was abandoned in the Bogahagoda area in Habaraduwa.

Investigations are underway to apprehend the suspects.
