Showers expected to enhance in next few days

The showery condition is expected to enhance to some extent in the South-Western part of the island

in the next few days starting from tomorrow (28), the forecasting division of the National Meteorological Centre said.

They said several spells of showers would occur in the Western and Sabaragamuwa Provinces and in the Nuwara Eliya, Kandy, Galle and Matara districts.

Showers or thundershowers are likely after 4.00 p.m in Batticaloa tomorrow.

Showers or thundershowers would occur at a few places in the Uva Province and in the Ampara and Batticaloa
districts during the evening or night.

The public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers. (Chaturanga Pradeep Samarawickrama)
