SLFP MP Ranjith Siyambalapitiya who was elected as the Deputy Speaker in Parliament yesterday, replacing himself, has resigned from the post again, the Daily Mirror learns.

Siyambalapitiya said he will send his resignation letter to the President shortly.

Siyambalapitiya was elected after he received 148 votes in a secret ballot which took place yesterday.
