Sri Lanka and Russia discuss strengthening bilateral security



Colombo, Dec 7 (Daily Mirror) - A special discussion on enhancing bilateral security relations between Sri Lanka and Russia, as well as international information security, took place today, the Public Security Ministry said

The meeting, chaired by Minister of Public Security Tiran Alles, was held at the ministry office and included the participation of Nikolai Patrushev, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, and Dr. Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe, Minister of Justice, Prison Affairs, and Constitutional Reforms.

A high-level delegation from Russia, comprising Alexander Nikolaevich and Deputy Secretary Oleg Vladimirovich, joined the discussion. The meeting was also attended by a group of ministry officials and Acting Inspector General of Police  Deshabandu Tennakoon.
