Sri Lanka expresses condolences following Jeju Air tragedy



The Government of Sri Lanka has extended its deepest sympathies following the tragic crash of Jeju Air flight 7C 2216 at Muan Airport in the Republic of Korea earlier today.

In an official statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism, Sri Lanka conveyed heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the accident.

“It is with deep sadness we learn of the tragic loss of life and injury caused by the crash of Jeju Air flight 7C 2216 at Muan Airport, Republic of Korea today," the statement said.
