Excellent now we are talking the truth. Only increased testing reveals such numbers. Hiding to get tourists and open the airport has taken us nowhere. Act Mr PRESIDENT this is why you were elected you.

Roni, after nearly 1.5 years of inaction what action we could expect this president to take? The 20th amendment to the constitution is in place, 2/3 majority in the parliament is there for him and his brothers, nephews, nieces and many more close relatives are holding key positions in the government and public institutions. What more does he need to take action? Please wake up from your daydream!

This is good proof that the "COVID-19 Control Center" has failed miserably. As I keep repeating the Sutin and Martin handling this center needs to be removed and replace by specialist health officials. The handing of the import and inoculation of the COVID-19 vaccine was disastrous and continues to do so.

Health officers cannot control, they will be arguing with each other. You need the Army to facilitate logistics.

Starting from the first citizen downwards, we are not focusing about effective prevention measures to be applied nationally for two weeks.

Remove Shavindra and his gang from COVID task force. Create a special committee with experts in this field and hand over them the tasks. Do 1-2 week immediate island wide lock down to reduce the spread of the virus. Gota act now at least

Are we vaccinating at the maximum possible rate? Now that both Chinese and Russian vaccines are available stop dithering and vaccinate the people as fast as possible.

It's surprising that the government has yet to declare a full lockdown. This has to be done sooner rather than later before the things will go out of control like India

Soon will be the actual number 1 or 2 from corona infections and deaths. Not the bogus number one in everything portrayed so far. People will at least realise now what type of inept , grossly inflated loss cannons they have elected to run this country.

Please allow the likes of Gamini Lokuge to handle the situation and hopefully we can top the 5,000 mark or do even better.

There is no point of return now unless the government act wisely, produce vaccines locally and give vaccine to everyone without discriminations based on age, sex and ethnicity. Other wise more than half of the country will get affected pushing the country back to jungle laws.
According to my own Mathematical model, exponential model based on non linear differential equation, we could see over 20 000 per day Covid-19 patients in the country by the middle of June.

to handle the problem we ought to face reality. It seems the best way is to treat persons with less complications be treated from home an those with complications be treated in hospitals. It may not be possible to prevent infection but the spreading may be controlled so that it can be treated effectively and increase natural immunity with less effect on life and economy.
