SriLankan flights delayed as airport ground staff protest

Bids called for divestiture of SriLankan Airlines BIA, Feb 25 (Daily Mirror) - At least four SriLankan flights were delayed at Bandaranaike International Airport this morning due to ground staff refraining from performing some of their duties.

The ground staff reportedly ceased their duties at 4:30 AM but resumed after two and a half hours following a call from authorities for a discussion.

The protest was allegedly initiated by airport workers demanding immediate solutions to inefficiencies within SriLankan Airlines.

NPP sponsored work. How can you remove inefficiencies immediately. By doing these disruptive activities they are going to force the government to sell the Air Line to Indians.

What are the staff protesting about? They hardly move during a check-in process. They are no longer ready with their fake smiles and do the bare minimum. So, going slow or should I say slower, is an absolute joke!!! Sack them, and bring in staff that actually want to work.
