State economic policy has made Lankans suffer: Sajith tells US Ambassador

Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa has informed US Ambassador in Sri Lanka Julie Chung that Sri Lankan citizens are undergoing great suffering because of the current state economic policy.

Mr. Premadasa said this when Ms. Chung met him at the Opposition Leader’s office this morning.

According to a statement issued by the Opposition Leader’s office, Mr. Premadasa and Ms. Chung discussed the current economic and social issues faced by the Sri Lankan people.

“Mr. Premadasa told Ms. Chung that Sri Lankas are undergoing various sufferings as a result of the state economic policy. He also briefed the US Ambassador on the postponement of elections in Sri Lanka,” the statement said.

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Niroshan Perera also participated in the meeting. (Yohan Perera)

What is SP's policy? Providing handouts and sugar coated goodies at the state expense to garner votes. This is the guy who ran away from the challenge of taking on leading the country when requested to. Say no more. Now going around sucking up to various folk and shedding crocodile tears.Just let the person who took on the arduous take deal with the issue, rather than have saboteurs running around trying hard to undercut the recovery path.
