Colombo, Oct 26 (Daily Mirror)- A 17-year-old student of a leading government school in Colombo 7 reportedly committed suicide by jumping onto a moving train near Dematagoda Railway station, police said.

They said the student, a resident of Beruwala, had died on admission to the Colombo National Hospital after being hit by a Colombo bound express train from Nanu Oya.

Police said the Grade 12 student arrived in the Maradana area to participate in a special programme in the school.

The Dematagoda Police are investigating the incident.
