A fleet of Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) and private buses have been arranged from today to bring those who had gone out of Colombo to cast their votes.

All SLTB depots have been instructed to assign their existing bus fleets for operations from today till Monday (18), SLTB Chairman Ramal Siriwardana said.

He said that all provincial depots have been advised to operate buses according to the ongoing timetable to facilitate the transport of passengers in and out of Colombo.

More buses will be operated in addition to the existing timetable, he added.

Meanwhile, many private buses have also been assigned to bring people to their workplaces.
