Swiss Embassy local staffer arrested

Swiss Embassy local staffer, Garnier Banister Francis, was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on the instructions of the Attorney General a short while ago.

She was arrested after being produced in the National Institute of Mental Health.

The Attorney General advised the CID to arrest Ms. Francis after naming her as a suspect for exciting disaffection against the government.

Accordingly, she was arrested and produced in the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court. (Yoshitha Perera)

Well done, the government showed it has some backbone. UNP would have been worshipping swiss embassy if this happened under them. Where is the dynamo? Hiding in Yala? Where is his press release? UNP will be worse off under him than Ranil.
