Tense situation emerges at Nelum Mawatha when Prasanna Ranatunga passes area

Colombo, May 28 (Daily Mirror) - A tense situation arose at the Nelum Mawatha premises near Parliament a short while ago when Minister Prasanna Ranatunga attempted to pass the area.

Several civil organizations have come together in a protest march from near the Parliament to the Nelum Mawatha premises of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP).

During the protest march, a heated argument arose between the police and the protesters when the protesters were obstructed by the police near the entrance to Nelum Mawatha.

When Minister Ranatunga tried to pass along the road, the protesters on both sides started hooting at him.

Pranna Ranatunga does not deserve it because after being convicted by the court for imprisonment (suspended) and ordered to pay a heavy fine, he managed to become a Cabinet Minister in Ranil Rajapaksa's Government. That is a very high achievement.

Prasanna was with MR and he was his right hand, now he is washing clothes to RW to remain in power. In case, if Sajith or Anura Kumara becomes the President, for sure Prasanna will join them forgetting his past. He is such a 3rd grade politician.
