Thailand Prime Minister to participate in 76th Independence Day



Colombo, Feb 2 (Daily Mirror) - The Thailand Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin will visit Sri Lanka as the chief guest of honour at the invitation of the President and the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka to celebrate the 76th Independence Day, which falls on Sunday (4), Home Affairs State Minister Ashoka Priyantha said.

While issuing a media communiqué, he said that due to the sudden illness, his two-day visit to Sri Lanka is limited to one day.

However, in honour of the President's request, the Thai Prime Minister is scheduled to participate in the Independence Day event for about an hour.
