Madam we dont know much about Party politics.you were nominated as MP last election in yr electorate under SJB.If you had contested undet UNP you may not have been elected. But we see you as a lady from a qualitywho will not bow down and play 2nd fiddle to any one.bcos you get elected from a district which is very difficult to win.I feel if you are resigning or resigned it is a wrong decision at the wrong time.

You are day dreaming. Either RW or Sajith can’t reach the winning post sometimes RW may exceed sajith Eventually AKD will secure landslide victory

People vote for UNP Economic policy. Social Market Economy. They never changed their economic policy. NPP cannot attract policy votes. Everyone should vote for clear economic policy. Now NPP follow JVP Economic policy or NPP has a separate policy?

You all committed a political suicide with Ranil, Sajith and all other parties except NPP: NPP lives with a policy and you all are political monkey jumping from one branch to another. Do not you have any shame to meet the public. What a low ebb of politics is this? I never see like this . In old days, politicians go home with respect. I still remember my local MP. Mr Ratnayake lost his seat in 1977 and he respectfully conceded the defeat and in the next week I saw him in a CTB bus going to Colombo with the public : what was the politics in old days. Now, you see political monkeys jumbling one branch to another for money and posts and positions.

Npp with a policy. Can you elaborate why Anura started using a luxury prado, visited asgiri and malwathu, party members start holding umbrella for Anura etc.. He oppose all these previously and now he had made au turn. Believing in npp lies is same like those who got deceived with gotas vipathmaga. It is better for the country if those who voted gota last time stops voting for anyone as they are the biggest fools in Sri Lanka and they are responsible for current crisis in Sri Lanka.

Don’t lie about Anura. People cannot find anything of substance against Anura so write petty things. Have a decent argument man, he is an intellectual, miles ahead of your SP. It’s astounding how NPP have developed so many meaningful and practical policies whereas SJB has been sleeping all these years in opposition. Now scrambling to copy NPP. SJB are well and truly exposed amongst the electorate.

YOHAN WHY MAKE SUCH STUPID COMMENTS TO BRING DOWN A PERSON AND END RESULT LOOK A FOOL Wednesday, 21 August 2024 03:26 PM
YOHAN, DID YOU THINK THE OTHER PARTY MP'S TRAVEL IN PUT PUTPS, PUBLIC TRANSPORT OR BY FOOT?? WAKE UP FROM YOUR SELF INFLECTED INDUCED COMA, ANURA CAN PURCHASE OR TRAVEL IN A VEHICLE OF HIS CHOICE, WHAT A PETTY MINDED COMMENT. ANURA/NPP ARE THE ONLY PARTY THAT HAS NO DRAMA AND ELECTION SPINS/JIMMICKS. NPP ARE UNITED TOGETHER AND DO NOT ACCEPT ANY TRAITORS, IT IS A NEW ERA FOR THEM AND THE COUNTRY WILL MOVE FORWARD AND EVERY STRUGGLING CITIZEN WILL BENEFIT. AS FOR THE MEGA RICH MAKE THEM PAY MORE TAXES OR BAND TOGETHER AND SET UP/FINANCE FOOD BANKS AND TRAINING CENTRES TO FEED THE POOR AND TRAIN THOSE LIVING IN OUTER VILLAGES AND REMOTE AREAS, TO ENABLE THEM TO BE PRODUCTIVE AND A ASSET TO THE COUNTRY, INSTEAD OF BEING A LIABILITY TO THEIR FAMILIES.

What is NPP policy? For example, What are they going to do with State enterprises like Sri Lankan airlines? Different JVPers say different things depending on the audience. I don’t think even the NPP knows what their policies are .

She has only one vehicle which she would return as I know her. Nothing to return in pensions. It will come only now and all employees are due pensions. It will not be much though. If she took care of family estates she would be making much more.

End of Thalatha's era as well . Dont let this double faced people to represent people. If you elected to parliment or take a part of team who win the parliment , shame on you people in Rathnapura. So far in sri lanka politicians make their future plans ordinary people just used their votes. However it is time for ordinary people to make their political strategy for next 5 or 10 years.

You mentioned people from other parties joining SJB as a reason to leave the party. If so isn't UNP also filled with lots Pohottuva corrupt MPs. Also didn't you realise that the party would divide when you joined SJB at the last election.

AKD support Wednesday, 21 August 2024 01:50 PM
Dear Vohan You think that AKD should ride a horse or donkey now in this modern age. If he is elected, he must maintain the good will, reputation and standard or status of our country. so, he should be driving a good car as a head of the state. Now, people love him so much and people pay him for all his travel out of love to him to see him the next national leaders. Did he steal anything. did he beg anyone for all these now. it is people who donate him such a level he has won the hearts and minds of people ..If your man Ranil or Sajith can steal the public funds or jolly ride on the public money. what a difference between those who take the public fund without approval of people and who take money with out of love and affection. This election is all about this trust , confidence, loyalty between all candidates and people.

So distressing to hear so many contradictions from a lady I respect. As many have pointed out, why now? You could have stuck with Ranil without going en masse to form the SJB. Even with all your experience and upbringing, it is sad that you still have not realised that Ranil was and is the Pig in the Manger. He never thought anyone else could lead the UNP and he still does. If the incoming crooks, scammers, rapists, racketeers and murderers would ruin the SJB, so can their counterparts joining with Ranil. So where's the logic?

At every given opportunity we take pride is boasting about our high literacy rate of 95%. Bu I do not see this translating in to meaningful choice of leaders to govern the country. People always want someone else to come and sort our mess. Earlier so called intellectuals clamored in their numbers behind Gota under the guise of Viyathmaga and this time making the same mistake of deciding to vote with the hearts and not mind, clamoring behind AKD

Do not blow the trumpet too loud for AKD. They have not tasted power yet like others. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. The office of President is vested with so much power. I am not against him personally. Be sober and balanced.

Former MP Athukorala, who got to know the "great" leader of the SJB Sajith Premadasa and presidential candidate well from personal and parliamentary contact, comes to the same conclusions about this man as I have clearly expressed several times in my comments!!! Premadasa neither has the leadership qualities required to be a leader (or statesman/president) nor is he a leader!!! Even as an outside observer of political events, one cannot come to any other conclusion about Premadasa, even with the best of intentions! He simply lacks everything to be president!!! But what about the others, most frequently mentioned, Ranil, Namal (!) and AKD! Where are the leadership qualities!!!??? So, even if "many" don't like it, there is only Sarath Fonseka!!! I have said everything about him!!!
