Thalatha may have brought one or two votes for Ranil. But her departure made Sajith's position on winning the election greater. It is alleged, Thalatha was a well known beguiler, (During the day she was a SJB'er, and in the night she played her real role as a UNP'er). She should have left SJB a long time ago. Unfortunately, Ranil does not have any moles inside SJB any longer.

What does this cross-over matter any way? Ranil is not going to cross the elusive (and tantalizing) 10% mark, irrespective of whether thalatha supports him or not. Besides, although everyone in these pictures seem to be very serious, their support for pina will fade to insignificant nothing as the voters would soon show.
