Thawheed Jamath's General Secretary Abdul Razik, remanded on charges of insulting Buddhism and reprimanding Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) General Secretary Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thera in filthy language on social media, was today further remanded till December 9 by Colombo Additional Magistrate Chandana Kalansuriya. This is an infringement of freedom of speech, no religion should be beyond criticism. Be it Islam, Hinduism Christianity or Buddhism or any other man made belief for that matter. People need to grow. If you can't take negativity live in a cave not in society.

We admit that Abdul Razik made a colossal error due to lack of proper knowledge on Buddhism. Gnanasaara Thero also committed and still keep on committing enormous errors due to lack of proper understanding on Islam. Hence both the offenders should be trialed under equal legal process.
