Theekshana available for Sri Lanka’s WC match against England

Spinner Maheesh Theekshana will be available for selection for Sri Lanka's World Cup match against England on Thursday, having fully recovered from pain in the right leg.

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) said an MRI scan taken of the player had shown no new injury or aggravation of the recent hamstring injury he suffered during the Asia Cup 2023.

Theekshana took part in the team practices today and was deemed fully recovered.

SL must win with England, thereafter SL must take care of Afghans and Bangladesh team. Who knows India will return the favour by throwing the game against us. Then the last game of the round robin against NZ it's Kiwis last game too most likely Kiwis gonna rest their top players and we should take the advantage!! Yeah.

Whether he plays or not, Angelo should play in place of Shanka (send him back to SL). If we lose to England better our guys pack their bags and come back. Disgrace of our team really.

He does not have a masculine walk/run. His fielding too is very weak. He can't consistently deliver at the highest level. Do you really believe there are better bowlers in SL?
