Train derailment halts up-country line operations

Watawala, Feb 09 (Daily Mirror) - Sri Lanka Railways has announced a disruption in railway operations along the Up-country Line due to a derailment near Ihala Watawala railway station.

The incident occurred this evening (Feb. 09) and has affected the slow train route from Nawalapitiya to Nanu Oya, derailing between Ihala Watawala and Rozella railway stations, as confirmed by the Railway Department.

so many frequent derailments and no one seems to be bothered. Obviously the politico's are not worried as they have their Land Cruiser's. Get the Indian assistance to re-lay the tracks so that commuters could have trouble free travel

when will the powers may learn to fix the tracks as they are deplorable,you don't grow weeds in between the tracks,this a what happen when you give gamayas the job to run the railway.
