The state of the public service in Sri Lanka is a global embarrassment. The citizens are suffering the consequences of electing so-called progressive leaders who have allowed political interference and union control to run rampant in the public sector for their own selfish gain. Any hopes for meaningful change in this broken system are mere fantasies. Sadly, this cycle of corruption and inefficiency will persist indefinitely, burdening future generations with its toxic legacy. The failure of Sri Lankans to hold accountable those who exploit public service for personal gain over the past 70 years is inexcusable. Silence only serves to perpetuate this culture of exploitation. Until the people of Sri Lanka rise up and vehemently oppose those who hold public service hostage for their own benefit, nothing will change. The future of the country hangs in the balance, and it is up to the citizens to take a stand against this injustice. Good luck to the generations.
