Training on robotics, artificial technology for 7,500 teachers



Colombo, September 3 (Daily Mirror) - The government has approved the training of 7,500 teachers selected from schools covering all the provinces in areas relevant to the STEAM concept, including information technology, biotechnology, engineering technology and mathematics, under three stages by the Skills College of Technology (SCOT CAMPUS).

Digital transformation has been identified as a vitally important component in the national
education policy framework, and it has been encouraged to obtain the support of the public and
private sectors to utilise artificial intelligence and new technologies. 

According to the project proposal presented by the Skills College of Technology (SCOT CAMPUS), an institution experienced in conducting practical courses on information technology, mechatronics and
robotics, a pilot project has been carried out successfully.
