A Gazette notification was issued yesterday, declaring public transport services as an essential service

The gazette was issued by the President's Secretary E.M.S.B. Ekanayake.

Accordingly, public transport services for passengers or goods and the provision and maintenance of facilities for transport services by road, rail, including roads, bridges, culverts and railway lines have been declared as essential services.

You have now declared almost everything to be an essential service. This is proof of your extraordinary stupidity, which indicates either your senility or advancing dementia. If all the areas you have declared to be essential services go on strike, do you and your gang of 225 crooks want to drive buses and locomotives, pump fuel, wipe patients' asses in hospitals, repair electrical cables and teach children? How can one person be so stupid?

100% agreed, this government is a joke jokes, the quality and availability of public transport is 40 years back compared to other developing countries. 99% of the population of this country doesn’t know how it feels like to live a quality life because this government doesn’t allow it to happen. They make decisions and doesn’t follow up, and in a few weeks all forgets.

In the past we have seen some services made essential services but they kept away from work and nothing happened to them. Transport is not a service that can be run without qualified people. RW appear to be having his wires crossed. If he repeats what his uncle did and dismiss all then the country will begin to burn.
