The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) is to conduct a Regional Tsunami Simulation Exercise tomorrow in the costal belt in Trincomalee, Galle and Matara districts, Deputy Speaker Ajith Rajapaksa announced today. 

He said the DMC had wanted the Speaker to inform the MPs of these coastal areas about the exercise. 

The objective of the exercise is to evaluate the national to village-level Tsunami early warning dissemination mechanisms established in Sri Lanka by the Disaster Management Center and to test the preparedness level of coastal communities and school children in Trincomalee, Galle and Matara districts. (Yohan Perera and Ajirh Siriwardana)
