Two arrested over Athurugiriya shooting
Two suspects were arrested yesterday in connection with the murder of underworld figure, Tranil Bandara Dharmasiri alias Banda inside a beauty salon at Athurugiriya recently, police said.
The suspects, residents of Kaduwela, were arrested by the Special Crime Investigation Division attached to Mirihana Police.
The victim was shot dead inside a beauty parlour at Athurugiriya town on January 17.
A motorcycle and a SIM card used for the crime were taken into the custody based on the information received by the suspects.
The suspects are to be produced before the Kaduwela Magistrate today. (Thilanka Kanakarathna)
