UNP Dambulla office attacked

Colombo, July 10 (Daily Mirror) - The United National Party (UNP) office in Dambulla was attacked in what seems to be the beginning of pre-election violence.

"The office has been heavily damaged while all cutouts have been destroyed," UNP General Secretary Palitha Range Bandara said.

However he said the party cannot conclude as to who was behind the attack.

I will not be voting for NPP/JVP because of their economic policies but they are not today a violent party. The parties of violence are all sitting under the UNP fold today.

Ofcourse it is a drama. Self- inflicted damage to gain sympathy from the people. Cheap politics. Fingers will be pointed at JVP/NPP coz everyone know they are gaining ground and drawing huge crowd at their election rallies.
