Lol. Who cares. These people think this will give him some votes at nxt election. Even if he visits each home, at the next election he will be not even among first five. A guy who could not win a single presidential election with almost close to 4m die hard unp voters now tries with less than half a million. Majority Floating voters block cannot be won by any government candidate at this election. About 4-5m voters now fall to this category. It will divide among Anura, Sajith and Dilith. If Dilith playa his cards properly just like how he had done within this short period, he can be the next president. His way of talking and speeches are far ahead of that of Anura and Sajith.

First part of the reply has sense and could be agreed with but the second part which said that the way of talking by Dilith surpass Anura is unacceptable. Dilith and Sajith could not come even closer to Anura in his analysis and convincing power when it comes to speeches made by these 3 parsons.

Dilith will only break the JVPs potential new vote base. Gota supporters who wanted Deshiya nishpadanaya (Local Manufacture) and was against selling state property will vote for Dilith.

Many people including me did not vote in the last election because UNP was being destroyed by SJB. But this time it is totally different. We're eagerly waiting to vote for Ranil and continue the action.

Floating voters are erudite and silent cores they can not be cheated easily. They vote for the past action of the candidate not for talk. JVPers tried to win the heart of the people in every election but it was failed. At the end of the every election they normally announce that people failed for not voting them. They changed their leaders many time it was not worked out. During the past RW was intentionally defeated by those who challenging his UNP leadership. This election will favor for him because His party members and opposition are joint for his victory.

Ranil will cause for milk rice to be cooked and given to the public in many areas with the money robbed from us. Whether your area will be served I cannot say

Irrespective of what this pina has to say, there is no denying the fact that the country's debt burden has increased colossally and the people are far worse than they were two years ago.

I am sure this was how the advertising agency in charge of RW's election campaign wanted to launch his 2024 election bid. But what they don't realise is Sri Lanka in 2024 isn't what it was a few years ago. Toady their collective political awareness and intelligence is very high. They won't fall into this type of superficial campaigns. They will understand it when the election results come out and a new dawn after a long period of darkness emerges.

The economy is a lot like the weather—it can be bright and sunny, stormy with heavy rain, or even hit by a thunderstorm that floods everything. People can thrive or struggle depending on the economic 'weather.' Just like the weather, the economy is always changing. Looks like RW is going to be weatherman to give us the latest forecast on the economic 'climate'

If you are honest take all looted money from all politicians ..don't care who are they and all looted money must be given back to the public and it is the public money that has been stolen and taken.. What economic reform you can do if all thieves come and steal it all once again.. Be like what the PM of Singapore did ?

Revamp and Downsizing Required Monday, 24 June 2024 05:29 AM
SL is still Bankrupt- period! The amount of outstanding loans might take 2 generations to clear them at the current amounts. Those future loans, only the heavens will know when payments will be done. His current expenditures are way too high and the next party taking over will need to downsize and streamline the administration and Tri Forces. The current regime is out of touch on current issues as most are elderly and nearing the productive years!

Without a Doubt President Ranil Wickramasinghe is the one who can take Sri Lanka towards prosperity. He had done in the past and with all his experience, we all have no doubt he can do it again. Only thing he shouldn't take the Rajapaksha family into his government. He is our only Hope.

No point of your Boru Shows, you had a life time to fix many things ,other politicians included, masses do not need to see a failure like you even in their wildest dream to be a future leader. Your legacy is well cut-out. The younger generation is much smarter than you all.

Don't be surprised there are still 69 mil intellectual voters waiting to cast thier intellegnt vote. They will eat any ball as long as it's sugar quoted in their liking. Mr. President didn't survive all these years in politics with the wolves, foxes and crows without any brains. Do remember that!!! This is wonder of Asia..... Elects the same lot for 70 years and beyond.

No point in rejected people making statements as there is no room for them in society. There is no reforms of any type in the near future for the public.

Everybody is eagerly waiting for your address to the nation. We know you can work miracles. The best examples are stopping power cuts by disconnecting over million houses. Eliminating fuel queues by making people who to use public transports while they have their own vehicles. Eliminating gas queues by making millions of people to eat one meal a day and creating a malnutritous section of society.

He is the man turn himself on in hot climate. Of course we must build his statue in front of the parliament without his trousers. This is the best unelected master debater the world ever had. Please god help my country

Tin pot President not wanted. He is irritating and annoying to the public. UNP desperate to stay in power, but public with Ranil as President should vote even less for these troublemakers to society than in the previous election. These UNP planned reforms will only worsen the lives of majority of the public. Voting out the UNP president, with anyone else is only action left to do for the public for this year. If Ranil tries to stay in power, then all of Military under his command must be pushed into the sea to free the country even, as we cannot tolerate Ranil anymore.

Ranil is so toxic that he has to go away for about two generations to clean him up. Also his friends like Ravi and that dumbo from Puttalam are as toxic.

Wishful thinking, this only show cases how bankrupt he is. Aiming at the minority voter base is quite evident here. He was ,Totally rejected by the voters, and his group of political rejects and discards now trying to take wing's. Who are Dilith, and Dhmmika? Ace crooks and fraudsters, it's very funny.

You don't pay the international debt and you think this gimmick will fool the people of the country by saying no fuel queues, availability of cooking gas etc etc. But don't you know that we will hv to pay these debts in the future with exorbitant interest accrued on them and if this is to happen you will again raise the taxes to burden the ppl. What kind of Economy Policy is this? The best measures to increase national income is to support the exporters, SMEs, farmers with subsidies, tea cultivators etc. Giving false promises to attract voters will not be good. Keeping in mind of tour party's previous defeats, be truthful to the masses which is the best way to rule a democratic based country.

President RW, you correctly mentioned this country needs a 25 year time frame (till 2048) to be developed. Its 2 years since you said that and still we don't see such a plan. Further IMF also warns that the country's situation is yet very delicate. So a plan is very important. If you want to contest, please first share a super 25 year plan with deliverables for every 5 years and how each ministry should be measured . If not please gracefully retire from active politics. We were hopeful of you been a statesman rather than another manipulative, deceitful politician. Your next few actions will show us who you truly are.

From the number of down votes compared to those who support the anti-RW comments for this article is an indication that more people prefer to continue under RW as President even if they do not like the Pohottuwa majority in parliament.

RW not likely to get any mileage on votes. He is a known liar who never kept to his promises. I recall him Shouting in Parliament "Kavuda Hora" for his Golayas to shout back "Mahinda Hora" He identified Mahinda as "hora" (thief) but never investigated Mahinda and that is Ranil

If he is trying to play the same old record by taking away queues and bring back petrol and gas to the public or trying to say that Sri Lanka is no more a bankrupt country these words are good for bone licking dogs of his party. How can one say we are not bankrupt when we owe the world 100 billion dollars. He has no shame to make such statements.

If you declare while addressing that you are tendering the resignation sans competing the coming election will be a great releif that the general public is expecting to celebrate the day.
