Colombo, May 14 (Daily Mirror)- Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu met representatives of the National People's Power (NPP) last evening at the Galle Face Hotel.

US Ambossodor to Sri Lanka Julie Chung and NPP MP Vijitha Herath, NPP Executive Committee Members Nalinda Jayatissa and Wasantha Samarasinghe attended the meeting.

The matters concerning the current economic situation in Sri Lanka,the involvement of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), ensuring the integrity of electoral processes, and security dynamics within the Indian Ocean region.

NPP need to produce their Manifesto before anyone can decide the direction being taken. There is a mix bag of opinions with voters currently and confusing the voters will have consequences for the party. SJB and SLPP have too many internal conflicts going on and will be distracted to rebuild the country. So it’s NPP and SLPP on the table at this moment to make inroads to the masses to vote for them.

JVP has crafted various slogans for various sectors of society after they shifted from the their previous "socialist" ideals. Sometimes if you listen carefully they say the identical things President Ranil Wickramasinghe says! Sometimes they identify the problem but don't commit a solution. Even IMF they are saying now that it is signed they have to consider it. So by clever (diplomatic) use of words they are mesmerizing and deceiving the foolish voters whose foolishness has always got us a set of wrong rulers for the last 76 years. If we analyse the only party to the problems of our country that has not been replaced is the voters themselves! So we will yet again vote in a bunch of wrong rulers.

So they too (JVP/NPP) are changing the tune aren't they? What happened to 'boycott USA goods, Google,' etc., rejecting the USA and protesting against the visit of the Secretary of State, USA. Its good that they understand the realities, but how can you trust a political party that keeps changing their views and ideologies? Didn't they state categorically that they didn't want the USA interfering in the independence and sovereignty of Sri Lanka? Well, at least they now realize in order to move with the world, nothing can be done without the blessings of Uncle Sam.

NPP lost its policy of PATRIOTISM and became the slave of the US, that plans to defeat RAJAPAKSAS who cannot be defeated by anyone else as the SLPP won the hearts and minds of the people who definitely vote for them, none of other parties win the election.
