Colombo, Feb. 23 (Daily Mirror)- United States Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources Richard Verma called on President Ranil Wickremesinghe a short while ago at the Presidential Secretariat, the President's Media Division (PMD) said.

Since when did Senegal's president have fair skin? You can say anything about Ranil but not that he is a racist. What is true is that he never misses a photo opportunity, but that won't help him win the presidential election.

Not only our President , our whole society loves to be photographed with people of fair skin. Whether we like it or not, the colour of the skin plays a very important role in this world . I only realised this truth at the age of 20 when I first landed in London to study for my undergraduate degree many years ago. I was called “ darky “ and “blacky” by the whites many times in the streets of London. I was not the only one, all of us who went to England from Asian countries for undergraduate education suffered open racism simply because of our colour.This is how British educated Asians became anti White and our thinking is so different from people back home in Sri Lanka. We are now senior professionals but we fully understand the “ colour politics” which no Sri Lankan who has not left Sri Lanka at younger would ever understand,that includes our President too.Asians are not going to get the respect by showing our beautiful beaches,Asia has to beat the West in Science and Technology.

You know, Mr Deputy Secretary….they have almost robbed the country , its resources and wealth but people still don’t know anything about it. So please look after yourself, your money and personal belongings till you will leave this godforsaken country.
