Upul Jayasuriya resigns as BOI Chairman

Board of Investments (BOI) Chairman and Attorney-at-Law, Upul Jayasuriya resigned from his post today.

He said he handed over his resignation to the presidential secretary.

Mr. Jayasuriya was appointed as BOI Chairman by President Maithripala Sirisena in 2015.

Great. He was the worst ever BOI chairman. leave alone corruption (which he will deny) but consider the FDI performance. lowest ever. we all should thank god that he finally resigned and hope someone capable and clean will be appointed now as the new chairman

May be the recent exposure of their signing a FDI agreement with a UAE company with a shady website claiming they are a big operation but only a head offfice in Colombo 4, had something to do with resignation.
