Ven.Gnanasara Thera to enter Parliament from OPPP

The Our Power of People Party (OPPP) has nominated Ven. Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thera as its National List member of Parliament.

Party media secretary Eranda Navaratne said the Central Committee of the party has approved to appoint Gnanasara Thera.

Accordingly, the party chairman and secretary will inform the decision to the Election Commission.

The Our Power of People Party obtained 67,758 votes in last week's General Election and secured a National List seat.(Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
