Was SJB MP Thalatha Athukorala with UNPers?

Colombo, July 31 (Daily Mirror)- A drama was witnessed when Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Thalatha Athukorala came out of Waters Edge in Battaramula where there was a workshop for the Provincial Council members who support President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
Ms. Athukorala was surrounded by media personnel who fired questions at her and inquired whether she was to support Wickremesinghe.
“I came to another programme and was never with the crowd who were to support President Wickremeisnghe. Don’t act cheaply, I have no issue with the President. I have been talking to him in the past. I will do so even today and it will be the same tomorrow,” she told the media.
When contacted by the Daily mirror Ms. Athukorala said she did bump into President Wickremesinghe. “I bumped into Mr. Wickremesinghe and he asked me what I was doing at Waters Edge. I also responded to him. That was all,” she said.
