Wasantha Mudalige files FR petition against debt restructuring programme
Colombo, September 20 (Daily Mirror) - National Executive Committee member of the People’s Struggle Alliance, Wasantha Mudalige today filed a Fundamental Rights petition before the Supreme Court seeking an order preventing the authorities from entering into any agreement relating to the restructuring of public debts.
Mudalige stated that he continuously supports and provides leadership to the Exit IMF movement since he verily believes that the economic solutions proposed by the government based on the IMF intervention are never concrete solutions for the present economic crisis.
