The water levels in Kalu Ganga, Ging Ganga, Nilwala Ganga and the Attanagalu Oya are significantly rising, Irrigation (Hydrology) Director Eng. S.P.C. Sugeeshwara said.

He said the water level in the lower areas of these rivers is still high.

He also cautions the people to be careful since no significant rainfall was recorded in any area yesterday (04) and the water levels of these rivers are not expected to rise.

However, the water level is still high in the lower areas of the Ging Ganga and Nilwala Ganga, as well as in the lower areas of the Kuda Ganga.

Only two or three days of rain and most of the rivers and tanks are overflowing. Two weeks drought and then they are dry. For God's sake dig these deep during the drought to contain more water.
