Colombo, August 9 (Daily Mirror)- Former Minister Harin Fernando, who lost his Parliamentray seat after the Supreme Court decision, said he and Manusha engaged in a sucide mission by supporting President Ranil Wickremsinghe.

He told a news conference that they were aware of the repurcussions of supporting the President at that time and said however, they took up the the challenge for the sake of the country.

Fernando said he and Manusha Nanayakkara will be independent from today like the President and added that they will start a new political journey.

Both these guys are greedy for power and washed Ranil's back to get ministerial jobs by ditching their former leader Sajith who trusted them both. Both ((including Ranil) went to town falsely claiming Sajith was afraid to take over the PM position when Mahinda resigned. In fact, when Gota invited Sajith, he and his senior party members proposed some conditions, which was not acceptable to Gota. After that though Ranil who was with the opposition, crept through the back door and accepted PM position. Rest is history. Applaud the SC as this decision is a lesson as it will prevent other MPs from crossing over. Harin n Manusha has lost their parliament positions n have to go home empty handed. People will teach them both a good lesson. Congrats to SJB and they can be rest assured every citizen in this wants Sajith to win the forthcoming Prez election. Subsequently, also the General Election.
