West Indies survive scare in tense win over Papua New Guinea in ICC T20 World Cup



June 02 - West Indies were on the back foot against Papua New Guinea but Rostan Chase and Andre Russell added important runs to win the game for the co-hosts. Rovman Powell’s team was on the brink of a defeat before the two experienced batters took their team to a victory by five wickets.

Windies completed the chase of 137 in 19 overs. For Papua New Guinea, Assad Vala took two wickets.

Earlier, the visitors managed 136/8, with Sese Bau scoring 50. Alzarri Joseph and Russell took two scalps each.
