Why did Sajith meet Namal?
Colombo, August 01 (Daily Mirror) - Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa had reportedly met SLPP MP Namal Rajapaksa a few days ago.
Presidential Advisor on Parliamentary Affairs Ashu Marasinghe today questioned as to why this meeting has taken place.
“We have already seen some news in the social media including the report that SJB Leader Sajith Premadasa is holding talks with MP Namal Rajapaksa. Premadasa should reveal the truth behind this report,” Marasinghe told a media briefing.
“There will be sensational news in the coming days. Incumbent President Ranil Wickremesinghe is currently having discussions with a few opposition MPs and party leaders. Await for some special news during the coming days,” he added.
“You will see similar dramas like the one which you saw on Wednesday when SJB MP Thalatha Athukorala was seen by some media personnel when she came out of Waters Edge,” he also said.

It is crazy to see, in the run-up to the important elections in the country, how power-hungry politicians and parliamentarians, who are only interested in their own interests, are trying everything to save their heads and their hefty incomes through political agreements, private conversations and cronyism!!! In Sri Lanka, this has reached a level that is rarely seen, but always seen in highly corrupt countries!!! Who is talking to whom, who should support whom or not, who is switching to which party, who is accepted into which party, who is rejected, what obscene electoral maneuvers can the politicians who have led the country into corruption and ruin come up with!!!? The same politicians who have totally failed want to be re-elected by the people! If you look at the opposition forces, with Premadasa and Anura Kumar and their party followers, you fall into deep depression !!!

Its their right to meet and discuss any matter including how to pass LLB with flying colors or even asking to help for upcoming election. Deal about how to defeat the big boss, RW. The fear that if the big boss re-elected by the people as president SJBers will ridicule at SP and ask him to step down from the SJB leadership as he did in the past against RW. Politics is all about survival. Whether it's green, blue, yellow, pink... The all have the same DNA. Divide and rule, earn while you last and stay in power in some form. If building roads, airports and introducing technology is deem as development and or propagated as development then, very little can be done to save a country... Real development comes from the ppl willing to work hard, minimize corruption, stop or reduce free or subsidiary for public and minimize racist activities. So bottom line who ever comes to power will only take the public for a ride in Sri Lanka.

Adwani, I don't think Fonseka is planning a campaign of revenge, but he will hold those who have destroyed the country in important areas of life to account!!! That should be in your interest too! As president, Fonseka doesn't have to be an economic expert! But I trust him to be able to put together a very good government team with the appropriate intelligent advisors!!! And that's what he will do! One more recommendation for you: after your experience with them, please leave the Rajapakse out of the game in future, they are politically unacceptable in every respect!!!
