Colombo, July 25 (Daily Mirror) - Minister of Justice Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe officially announced his candidacy for the upcoming Presidential Election.

He made this announcement during a special press conference held today (25).

NPP hardly have any chance to win mate. It is the reality. The floating voter block is around maximum of 4m by now. If RW contest, he will get 1 to 2m of that block. Sajith will hardly get any vote from that block. Dilith will also get some votes from that block. So what is left is not enough for npp. Lol. Majority of core voters of sjb, slfp and pohottuwa will vote for Sajith and some will vote for rw. Maximum of half a million of hard core voters may vote for npp which will hardly make any impact. Most probably with current situation the winner will be sajith or the person contesting from sjb lead alliance.

If RW contests the election, the above two candidates will support rw at the last phase of the election but it can backfire Ranil because both are famous frogs so they may support a different candidate to get a ticket to contest general election. There is no doubt that anyone getting in to the race will discuss the dire situation in Sri Lanka. They will ponder over who and what have led to this unfortunate state. Naturally, they will highlight the corrupt deals and decisions made in the past by Ranil and Rajapaksa, as well as their associates. Many candidates are stepping forward now, primarily to protect themselves, fully aware of their fate once they lose.
