Wijeyadasa seeks JSA officials’ summoning to Privileges Committee

Colombo, June 25 - Justice Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe has formally requested the Speaker to summon key officials of the Judicial Service Association (JSA) to the Committee on Privileges.

This request comes in response to a statement issued by the JSA, which the Minister alleges has infringed upon his parliamentary privileges.

In a letter addressed to the Speaker, Minister Rajapakshe highlighted his concerns regarding the recent statement made by the Chairman and Secretary of the JSA.

Wijedasa, who cannot present a single bill to the Parliament without the Supreme Court calling it a violation of human rights or a violation of the constitution, has no right to call anyone to the Parliament. First, he could not even sit in Parliament as he now had membership in two political parties. Kick this guy out!
