Colombo, October 07 (Daily Mirror) -  While saying that a comprehensive investigation is underway into the tragic death of a 24-year-old woman at the Wijaya Kumaratunga Memorial Hospital in Seeduwa, the hospital authorities dismissed claims of a vaccine being administered to the woman.  

Speaking to the Daily Mirror, a top source of the hospital said the hospital is awaiting the results of the Government Analyst's report, which would further shed light on the actual cause of the death.

However, reports suggest that family members have claimed of a link of a vaccine to her death.    

Responding to this, a senior health official said it is premature to draw conclusions until the results of the ministerial investigation is out. 

The woman was admitted to the hospital on the morning of October 2 after experiencing severe stomach acidity (gastritis) since the day before. The deceased was a resident of Hasalaka.
