Xi Jinping’s special envoy Yiqin arrives

KATUNAYAKE (Daily Mirror) - Chinese President Xi Jinping's special envoy and State Councillor Shen Yiqin arrived in Sri Lanka today for a four-day official visit.

She will be in Sri Lanka till November 21.

Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe welcomed her at the Bandaranaike International Airport on her arrival. State Minister Tharaka Balasooriya and Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Qi Zhenhong were also present.

The primary aim of State Councillor Shen Yiqin's visit is to explore and enhance mutually beneficial cooperation.

State visit to Sri Lanka is always welcome which we see very often .We are in hospitality to people every day I think we are the first.honestly one reason is this habit.But are we bearing expenses for state visits?please if you see this make donations to orphanages,home for elders which are in plenty in Sri Lanka .lot of short comings !!! The Sri Lankan Tamils of the North feel that they don’t have genuine trustworthy Tamil politicians to represent them, they don’t trust any of their Tamil MPs even though they voted for them due to lack of choices. Extraordinarily, the Tamils in the North consider the Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka as their sincere Guardian , and the expatriate Tamils of the North consider the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as their international Protector.
