Youth shot dead inside mobile shop in Malimbada

Matara, Jan 20 (Daily Mirror) - A 24-year-old youth was killed in a shooting at Malimbada in Thelijjawela, Matara tonight, police said.

They said that two men arrived on a motorcycle at a mobile shop had opened fire on the victim with a pistol.

The Malimbada Police are investigating to arrest the shooters and determine the motive behind the shooting.

The victim was identified as a resident of Welipitiya.

Drug menance has gone too far, the police has to be even more strict, let Cadinal and Human Rights activists say anything. They want to protect their funding sources. Of this drug menance is not controlled, the whole country will become like Mexico. Where do the end consumers get money for the drugs?
