Zimbabwe elects to bat in 2nd ODI; Sri Lanka sticks to unchanged lineup



Jan. 8 (Daily Mirror) - Zimbabwe has won the toss and chosen to bat in the second ODI between Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

Joylord Gumbie has been brought in to open for Zimbabwe in place of Takudzwanashe Kaitano. Sri Lanka, on the other hand, has opted to maintain their team with no changes.

The first ODI was called off due to rain on Saturday.

Sri Lanka: Avishka Fernando, Kusal Mendis, Sadeera Samarawickrama, Janith Liyanage, Charith Asalanka, Sahan Arachchige, Dasun Shanaka, Maheesh Theekshana, Dushmantha Chameera, Jeffrey Vandersay, Dilshan Madushanka.

Zimbabwe: Joylord Gumbie, Tinashe Kamunhukamwe, Milton Shumba, Sikandar Raza, Ryan Burl, Clive Madande, Faraz Akram, Blessing Muzarabani, Richard Ngarava, Tapiwa Mufudza.
