A9 road closed
The A-9 (Kandy-Jaffna) main road has been closed at Nochchimoddai in Vavuniya as the road went under water due to heavy rains experienced in the area, our reporter said.
As a result, several tanks in the area were also overflowing, flooding most of the areas in the district.(Romesh-Wanni)
