The University Teachers today decided to suspend the two-and-half-month long trade union action following the assurance given by the Higher Education Ministry, a spokesman for the Federation of University Teachers Association (FUTA) said.

It's nice to hear that the scholars are given due respect even after two & half months. The thing is why these politicians & SLAS officials took such a long time to come to an agreement. Both these politicians & SLAS officials are burden to the nation and get all the unparallel privilages. In contrast these stupids cann't find at least a book keeping job if they lose these jobs.
